Description
Executed in acrylic on raw OSB panels, this close-up reveals the mantra-like calligraphic codes that define the core of the installation. Set in an area with profound historical layers—including a local kindergarten that stands on the grounds of a former cemetery—the piece forces a confrontation with the unseen. The temporary nature of the installation is deeply intentional, drawing inspiration from the transience of Buddhist sand mandalas. As these calligraphic traces are continuously shaped, weathered, and degraded by the elements over their lifespan, they beautifully encapsulate the project’s ultimate message: embracing impermanence and accepting death as an integral, dignified part of a complete life.
